This is an evidence-based social skills intervention for elementary school children who are interested in learning ways to help them make and keep friends. During each session, children are taught important social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills during real play activities (e.g. playing sports, board games). Caregiver sessions are included to help support developing and maintaining friendships.
Some skills taught include:
- Sustaining 2-way conversations
- Engaging in active listening
- Setting up play dates
- Being a good sport
