Participants develop and practice skills needed to find suitable employment and develop essential skills for the workplace. These essential skills are taught, and opportunities to role play these skills allow participants to practice them in a comfortable environment.

Skills taught may include:

  • Choosing a job or volunteer position
  • Conducting a job search
  • Preparing for an interview
  • Telephone and technology etiquette
  • Workplace etiquette

Engages in behaviours that could cause injury to self or others

Needs consistent 1:1 support for learning

Is still developing basic readiness skills (e.g., attending, following directions, transitions)

Needs support with having conversations or following along with lessons
