Participants learn skills related to kitchen safety, food preparation and cleaning up. Participants will have the opportunity to plan meals and cook various recipes.
Skills taught can include:
- Reading recipes, retrieving ingredients, and measuring ingredients
- Safe use of various kitchen appliances
- Following a recipe to make simple snacks/meals
- Plating food and getting appropriate cutlery
- Cleaning up and putting away ingredients
