The PEERS (Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills) program is an evidence-based social skills program that teaches middle and high school students how to make and keep friends. Topics on building friendships are taught and participants practice these skills with peers.

Some skills taught include:

  • Using appropriate conversation skills
  • Choosing appropriate friends
  • Handling rejection, teasing and bullying
  • Finding common interests
Group-based ABA Services Inquiry Form
Our centre-based group ABA services provide an engaging environment where participants build essential skills alongside peers. Groups are led by trained therapists to support the development of communication, social interaction, independence, and emotional regulation.

Skills We Focus On

Conversation skills: using appropriate ways to start and maintain interactions.

Friendship choices: identifying and choosing suitable friends.

Social resilience: handling rejection, teasing, and bullying.

Common interests: discovering and sharing shared hobbies or activities.

This program is not suitable if your child:

Engages in behaviours that could cause injury to self or others

Needs consistent 1:1 support for learning

Is still developing basic readiness skills (e.g., attending, following directions, transitions)

Needs support with having conversations
